Television has come a long way from small boxes with dials on front to increased screen size to reduced thickness and the modern curved television screens. Television itself has come long way from being TV set to TV screen but let’s not forget the future prospect of television which we had a glimpse of during the beginning of this year. Yes, we are talking about LG’s roll able OLED Display screen.
LG showed off a prototype 18 inch roll able screen at the Consumer Electronic Show giving insights to the future of television. Although there is no news about its launch and venture into the market as of now but it sure has got us hooked with the mere clippings of it’s functioning. We can’t wait to have a personal look at this future TV.
LG has been on this journey of making TV slimmer and efficient to give realistic view to the viewers for about a decade and has finally been able to come up with a 1mm thick TV which is roll able and is the reality of portable TV. It uses OLED, Organic Light Emitting Diode, for display and focuses on bendable, roll able and curving displays. Although it is not yet completely functional but we can’t deny it’s already got us talking. We are all prepped up to meet this roll, tuck in pocket TV concept and hope that this 25 inch, 1mm portable television makes its way into our life soon.
