Holiday! A word that all of us love to hear, even the workaholics do but we all at time fail to make it special and add up spending it lying in bed binge watching movies. Planning for holidays is a rather a difficult task especially when you are strangled in budget, but don’t worry we have some alternate ideas in which you can spend your holidays, you can thank us later.

Give it to your community
This is the perfect time when you can give back to your community some of your time and gratitude. Don’t get into charity rather work for the community. Work in an orphanage or old age home. Go out on streets and spread smiles. Feed the people on roadside, clean your society, feed the street animals but don’t do anything just to show people rather do to satisfy your soul. Do it for your smile. Do it because you want to do it. And we assure you, you won’t feel guilty about your holidays rather you would love spend every holiday giving to the community what it has been giving to you.

Learning something new
We all love being ‘couch potato’ especially during the holiday season and it’s not really something to be guilty about. But get into something that you like- a new language, singing, dancing, and playing a new instrument or sport. This would be something different from your monotonous life and yet a new achievement. Learning is always fun when you know the right subject for you. So what class are you taking up?

Do something that you have been shrugging off
Let’s be honest, we all have the tendency of putting things into future with one basic excuse- “I don’t have time right now.” Well, guess what its holiday season and you possibly have all the time in the world. So, no excuses just get to it and finish that work off. Don’t give any more excuses neither to others nor to yourself. Remember Nike’s tagline “Just do it!”

Take up an adventure
Do you love travelling? Then don’t just travel to visit places rather take up an adventure and add a feather in your cap. Have you seen all those movie shots and Discovery channel’s boasting off adventures that gave you goose bumps and your mind instantly said- “Man! I so want to do this.” This is the perfect time to try that thing out (just don’t get broke). Try the adventure that fits your pocket and doesn’t make you cry at the end of the holidays.

Family time
This is something that many of us from the new so-called modern generation often consider spending time with family as old fashioned but it actually is one of the best way to spend your holidays. Let your family know how much they mean to you and how much you love them. Buy them presents are if you don’t have a lot of money just write sweet thank you notes and make their holiday special too. Trust us; smile multiplies when you spread it.

Happy holidays!
